PLASTIC POLLUTION

I am currently investing a lot of time into searching for a viable project in Australia that is trying to solve the problem we have with plastic pollution, and one aligns with my ideas. I thought this would be an easy choice, but many organizations are already funded by the government (which is not necessarily a bad thing) and our donations may not make a noticeable difference. Additionally, I am facing issues with the lack of transparency in the operations of some organizations.

I am continuing my search for a project that will align best with Dolphin & Dog and with you as a donating customer. Plastic pollution is currently at the top of our list of priorities. In the next few months, I will be exploring where our donations can be best directed to combat this issue and achieve visible results from our hard work. Eventually, I would like to explore the possibility of running our own organization as Dolphin & Dog continues to grow.

I think that by creating an organization, I could have more control over the direction and impact of the work being done, and ensure that our donations are being put to good use. While it may take time and effort to start an organization, I believe that the potential impact it could have on the causes I care about makes it worth pursuing.

Of course, this is a long-term goal for me, and I want to make sure I am supporting existing organizations in the meantime. But as Dolphin & Dog continues to grow and I gain more experience in the field, I'm excited to explore the possibility of creating something of my own.

“Right now, eight million tonnes of plastics end up in the oceans every year…the actions of just one of us may seem to be trivial and to have no effect. But the knowledge that there are thousands of, hundreds of thousands of people who are doing the same thing – that really does have an effect.”
